At the end of winter, Brera Botanical Garden witnesses the awakening of the spontaneous flora of Lombardy, along with several other treats for the visitors.

In the very heart of Milan, the following species grow: Eranthis hyemalis, Primula veris, Primula vulgaris, the Spanish bluebell (Endymion hispanicum), the fascinating lungworts (Pulmonaria officinalis), Viola obliqua, different species of cyclamen, and lilies of the valley (Convallaria majalis).
But there are also the bulbous comfrey (Symphytum bulbosum), and wild garlic (Allium ursinum)
