Palazzo Parisi is a historic Renaissance residence in the province of Rieti, owned by Arabella Lennox-Boyd, an Italian-English landscape architect. The garden extends over 37 acres and is full of aromatic plants, such as rosemary (Rosmarinus officinalis) and lavender (Lavandula spp.), There are many varieties of roses, iris, clematis, peonies, but also perennial herbaceous plants and grass.
The quaint Renaissance-style gazebo is found next to two quince trees (Cydonia oblonga), and two mulberries (Morus spp.). Standing in front of the building, and raised above the garden, it embraces the surrounding landscape and the lawns full of flowers. The avenue leading from the palace to the church is lined with flowerbeds of iris (Iris spp.), Roses (Rosa spp.) And cypresses (Cupressus spp.); the lawn in front of the villa is intersected by a path that leads to some olive trees (Olea spp.). The structure is currently used as a hotel, finely furnished, with frescoes and trompe l’oeil creations.
