In this botanical garden, built in a sinkhole, some 1.2 acres of land contains all the main geomorphological features of the karst territory, along with the respective plant species.
There are about 600 species, arranged according to their biological tracts, thus offering visitors a detailed overview of the territory. The different environments include a heathland, a forest, bushes, the undergrowth, sinkholes, rock vegetation and some screes.
The most prominent species in the wood are the Austrian pines, manna ashes, maples, and other herbaceous plants that grow under their foliage, forming a rich shrubby layer.
