Villa Malenchini is a prestigious villa of Parma built in the 16th century by the Marquees Lampugnani and refurbished in the 18th century.
Towards the Southern part, in the Felino direction, the park extends itself for 15 hectares. It has a romantic style and the count Fortuny Malenchini Raggio, who bought the villa in 1895, had it realised.
In the hills directions, a straight central paths with Populus nigra, a length of 1,500 meters and flanked by hedges cut alternatively in the shape of cubic hemispheres, connects the villa to the park.
The park hosts numerous centuries-old plants, such as oaks, hornbeams, ashes, alders, chestnut trees, lindens, plane trees, cedar trees, sofora , firs and paulownia.
There is also a noble chapel, a spring made of fake stone, a neo-baroque nymphaeum and a wavy line lake with a small castle on an island, which is a reproduction of Fontanellato’s stronghold.
