Oasi di Montovolo is in the municipality of Grizzana Morandi, province of Bologna. The oasis has an area of 79.5 hectares of forest, composed of  hornbeams, Quercus robur, maple trees, elms, lindens and centuries old chestnut trees (Castanea sativa), with circumferences till 8 meters. In addition, various species of wild orchids grow here and they belong to the genres (Epypactis) and (Cephalanthera).
