Via Padova Vegetable Gardens

Built on an abandoned stretch of land by Legambiente, this fenced area has proven itself a most popular gathering venue for the neighbors since 2014.
It’s actually a small green area (slightly less than 2.5-acre wide) next to the Fossati sports facilities, and it runs on the first part of Viale Palmanova with its entrance on via Esterle.
Several activities and events are organized throughout the year for men, women, children, and elders. For instance, Saint Anthony is celebrated with a spectacular bonfire in January, while several gardening courses and seed exchange events take place on a regular basis.
In summer, assorted vegetables are put on sale, while some skilled retired professionals assist any freshman gardener and his assigned patch of garden in the winter. There are also hives for the production of Honey!
