Vivaio Forestale Regionale (Ersaf – “Regional Forest Nursery” ), in Curno (BG), is the nursery of the Lombardy Region that deals with the production of native forest plants of local origin.
In particular, it deals with the collection and conservation of seeds and the cultivation of plants and their distribution in order to protect the genetic heritage of the local forests.

Each year, the nursery cultivates about 70 tree and shrub species, producing about 300.000 seedlings. For useful information about forest plants (species which can be used for different purposes, planting schedule and techniques, layouts, cultivations, etc.) the nursery technicians are always available.
