In fascinating Arezzo, the Botanical Rose Garden of Cavriglia is run by Gianfranco and Carla Fineschi: they cultivate and preserve some 8.000 rose plants of about 6.500 different species and varieties, including botanical varieties, hybrids of Tea, Floribunda, shrubs, miniatures, polyantha, ground covering species, ramblers, and climbers.

Among the modern roses, there are some hybrids that are little known, although they used to be widely appreciated on the market. This rose collection is, therefore, also a most valuable resource for scholars, enthusiasts and nurserymen.
