Massimo Villa started cultivating anemones in the 1980s, then became a professional gardener; today, he’s an experienced and highly appreciated garden and terrace designer, also particularly knowledgeable when it comes to furnishings and decorations.
In his Ars & Labor workshop, he creates seats, pergolas, garden curbs and flower beds, palisades, baskets, panniers, modesty screens and panels, lampshades and several other vintage and traditional; not to mention the actual materials painstakingly chosen for its creations, like weaved branches and rushes, spikes, bark, felt, leather, paper and PVC.
Massimo can also build evocative willow fences and make natural wood furnishings using salvaged tree parts.
And there’s more: he also builds huts, garden houses and tree houses, in all sizes and styles, using ancient and contemporary techniques (with a thatched roof, with “Nordic style” thin wooden shingles, as well as with modern and colourful one, etc.)
