Crivello Farm

This farm is owned by Lorenzo and Pier Franco Crivello, and it is specialized in the cultivation of pepper – a vegetable typical of the southern area of Turin. The traditional “Tumaticot” variety is cultivated along with some other types of pepper “Qudrato di Carmagnola”, the “Trottola’” and the “Horn of Ox” (they’ve all been acknowledged as “Slow Food presidium”).
The Crivellos also offer “Cuore di Bue” tomatoes, strawberries and winter vegetables, such as cabbage, lettuce, spinach and herbs – they’ve also recently introduced an ancient vegetable grown in San Bernardo, the so called “barba di becco”, also known as “barbabuc” (Tragopogon porrifolius L.).
All the vegetables are organically grown with thorough pest management criteria which guarantee healthy and excellent products, as well as true respect for the environment.
