Olga Casanova’s biocertified farm and Alpine Botanical Park

Olga Casanova’s bio-certified farm is in Val di Sole, among Tonale Pass, Pejo and Madonna di Campiglio (in the Stelvio National Park). It is specialized in the multiplication and sale of edelweiss and medicinal mountain plants, as well as in the production of natural and organic cosmetic-herbal preparations. In addition, it has recently opened to the public an Alpine botanical park.
The plants are grown with the organic farming technique. There are, for example, carefully selected varieties of edelweiss (appreciated for its antioxidant properties and the flavonoids which fight free radicals and are excellent for skin health), mountain arnica, thyme, pot marigold, dog-roses, and many other species.
Olga Casanova products are available in several markets and at seasonal fairs throughout the Trentino Region. They’re also sold nationwide and in many European markets.
The Alpine Botanical Park of this farm includes hundreds of species, mostly native, or in any case, typical of the mountain areas – they’re all comprehensively introduced to the visitors by very useful tags; there’s lemon balm, mint, cornflower, mallows, yarrows, currant, alpine blue-sow-thistle (Lactuca alpine), and goat’s beard (Aruncus dioicus).
All those plants are used for the preparation of multivitamin herbal teas and other similar products.
The park is open to the public and guided tours are available for those who’d like to discover the secrets and the properties of the mountain plants.
