Benetton Foundation Garden

This Foundation – a research centre about the landscape, the history of games and the local cultural heritage, was founded by the Benetton family in 1987. It can be found in Treviso, inside the Bomben and Caotorta buildings. In 2004, on the occasion of the restoration of the latter, a beautiful garden was built on a project by the landscape architects Luigi Latini, and Ippolito Pizzetti, helped by the nurseryman Pier Luigi Priola.
The garden lies in the courtyard of the first building and stretches to the nearby river which can be crossed by a pedestrian bridge. The garden layout is geometrical, with high wooden pergola all around it, covered with vines, and decorated with large pomegranate trees (Punica granatum) in the centre and floors made of different textures.
