Botanical Garden of the University of Bologna – Collection of roses
This post is also available in: Italiano (Italian)
In the Botanical Garden of Bologna there’s a collection of local wild roses which is currently made of 12 different species that have been revived and bred by wild plants so that they can be safeguarded and protected.
The collection has, therefore, a double value: an aesthetic one at the time of blooming, and a scientific one as a testament of the distribution of this genus in the area of Bologna, which still lacks complete studies and research.
