Chestnut Forest
This post is also available in: Italiano (Italian)
This chestnut forest, in the Apennines between Abruzzo and Lazio, not far from the village of Corvaro (province of Rieti), is a magnificent and ancient wood, with many species of chestnut trees (Castanea sativa), four to six century old. The only inhabitants are transhumance shepherds, and – most unfortunately – hunters.
