Citylife Park

Where Milan main fairgrounds used to be, now there’s a new ultra-modern neighborhood, designed by archistar “City Life”; three skyscrapers stand out, the long one, the straight one, and the bent one, having eventually changed the city skyline and become a prominent point of reference.
This neighborhood also features luxury residences, a shopping center with several establishments, restaurants, cinemas, and a large green area that stretches over more than 40 acres. The latter is the third biggest park downtown.
In Piazza Giulio Cesare, the former main gateway to the fairgrounds, there is still the Four Seasons fountain by Enzo Gerla – built in 1927, and that’s exactly where the main access path to the park starts. It winds upwards, reaching the highest portion of the park, like all the other avenues inside it. Visitors can thus admire and enjoy the whole park from above, once they’ve reached the terraces with the restaurants, and coffee shops.
A cycle path winds through the area and connects it to the Portello park – the latter then reaches Monte Stella park. In the southern portion of Citylife Park, there are beeches and maples, as well as the square of the fountains, thus offering a very popular space for the public.
The areas for dogs are well hidden by tuft, grass, and grassy borders. The park is completely fenced and entirely dedicated to pedestrians; cars can be parked in a large underground lot.
The peculiar fenced space dedicated to the flower garden features the old tradition of flowers on the edges of vegetable crops: among carrots, dahlias, and the greenest ever grass there’s also a refreshment kiosk.
