This is a huge nursery established by Paolo Zacchera. It offers a special selection of maples, rare camellias, azaleas, rhododendrons and other acidophilic plants and flowering shrubs, particularly suitable for thriving in the microclimate around Lake Maggiore.
The nursery professionals are also highly skilled in cultivating young, healthy and naturally luxuriant plants, always trying to reduce the consumption of water, energy and soil while struggling to minimize the environmental impact.

The range of camellias is particularly interesting – those flowers have grown around the lake for two centuries now, and they have become a vital part of the surrounding landscape: the nursery catalogue offers classic and new spring-flowering camellias, the peculiar Higo variety, autumn-winter flowering camellias, and some special variations, including Camellia fraterna, Camellia cuspidata, Camellia grantamiana and Gordonia chrysandra.
Among the latest novelties, there are scented camellias (“High Fragrance”, “Kingyo Tsubaki”, “Fragrant Pink”, and “Apple Blossom”).

In addition, this nursery produces kalmias, fetterbushes, Japanese maples, sweet boxes, magnolias, skimmias, stewartias, devilwood, paper bush, daphnes, heath, and enkianthus – with a wide choice of rhododendrons and azaleas in particular.

Last but not least, for some years now, Paolo Zaccherra has started an interesting production of tea plants (Camellia sinensis).
