The Pharmacy of Dr Nicola, established in Aosta by the pharmacist Pier Giuseppe Nicola in 1981, has been dealing with natural remedies and homoeopathy since its very first day of activity.
Since 2005, the doctor’s son Andrea Nicola (who’s also a pharmacist), has developed phytocosmetic products based on homemade recipes and local herbs and flowers.
Today, this pharmacy offers 50 phytocosmetic products and 30 types of supplements, all branded as “Phytocosmetics of the Mountain Doctor Nicola Farmacista”. All these products are 100% natural and made with local raw materials, pure and uncontaminated, ranging from thymus to edelweiss; the latter is specifically cultivated in Val Ferret at heights exceeding 5.249 ft.
Dr Nicola’s pharmacy uses a lot of plants coming from its own Experimental Garden which also offers open-day events throughout the year when visitors can meet its staff of true professionals.
