The free baths of Segesta, also known as “Polle del Crimiso”, are on the left bank of the Crimiso River, in a pristine nature context of great value, among reeds, tamarisk and the rocky walls of white travertine streaked with pink. They are fed by four thermal springs of volcanic origin that flow at a temperature of about 116.6° F. It is, therefore, very pleasant to bathe in the small sheltered bends of the river, protected from the current, even during the night (torches would be required, though).

Such natural wonder is near the Castellammare del Golfo spa, also known as “Terme Segestane”, in “Ponte ai Bagni” district – near the well-known archaeological site of Segesta and its Doric temples.
