The Cormor Botanical Park is a perfect example of enhancement and protection of the typical vegetation of the Cormor stream area. The latter has been recently acknowledged as a site of Relevant Environmental Interest, together with the beautiful lawns in the park, built on a series of terraces sloping down towards the very bed of the stream.
Featuring a thick forest, avenues and a comprehensive network of walkways, the park is the perfect place where to take an outdoor leisure stroll, discovering the rich local flora and fauna.
For instance, there is a wide range of orchids and wild carnations. From spring to late summer, the spectacular blooming of all the different species is guaranteed to mesmerize all visitors.
One of the main treasures of the park is the great plant and animal diversity which makes it ideal also for educational and instructional purposes. It’s thus a perfect destination for a school or family trip, as well as for a very relaxing day out.
Inside the park, there are large meadows thick with herbaceous plants, including orchids and carnations.
