Parco Dossi-Comuni was opened in the spring of 2015 and is named after the locality on the border between the municipalities of Lamezia Terme and Feroleto. It is a wide area recovered after years of abandonment, which belongs to the municipality of Lamezia Terme. It includes a great pine wood (60 hectares) and the Botanical Garden (9 hectares), which was created in 1972 and is located in the territory of Nicastro, in the area of Dossi Comuni.

More than 1000 botanical species are present in the garden. Among them there are native trees, bushes, fruit trees, palms and cycads, aromatic plants and succulent plants species which are all divided in different themed sections.

Guests can discover the botanical patrimony, jog or stroll in the garden travelling on stone paved walkways or on rammed earth and be surrounded by hedges in boxwood (Buxus sempervirens) trimmed in form.

The Botanical Museum is present inside the garden and it guards an herbarium composed of numerous  exicata _  tagged and well dried herb samples  _  a xyloteque, which stands for a collection of wood samples of specifically selected wood species. It also possesses different collections of fruits and seeds.
