Right above Pont-Saint-Martin, in a small basin, there’s the small pond of Holay, a 7.4-acre reserve at an altitude between 2.516 and 2.542 ft above sea level.
The Holay pond became a nature reserve in 1993, due to its pristine natural wealth, and is currently managed by the Agriculture and Natural Resources Department. It hosts several species of amphibians and reptiles.
BOTANICAL CHARACTERISTICS
In the reserve, there are plants of great value, such as water-purslane (Peplis portula), and field forget-me-not (Myosotis arvensis).
