Horseradish (Armoracia Rusticana) is a plant belonging to the Brassicaceae (or Cruciferous) family; it has a large fleshy whitish taproot, with an acrid and very spicy flavour – often served grated on some types of meat.
Horseradish has always been considered an effective officinal plant to treat bruises, tears, muscle pain, rheumatism, sciatica, etc. – it features, in fact, some remarkable healing properties also acknowledged by science.
