Lea Garofalo Community Garden

Lea Garofalo Community Garden is in Viale Montello 3, Milan, and it is currently managed by the “Gardens in Transit” (GiT) association, on behalf of the Municipality thanks to the Shared Gardens Agreement. The Garden is open to the public thanks to the hard work and commitment of members of the abovementioned association.
Opening hours are from 9 am to 7 pm, and visitors are kindly required to comply with the few important rules listed in many multilingual signs at the three main entrances of the garden (two on viale Montello, on on Bastioni di Porta Volta):
The garden was created as an autochthonous forest, made of arboreal and shrubby species – which replaced weed gliders – a mixed hedge, along Bastioni di Porta Volta – refined borders and flowerbeds along the main walkway, a small hill for children, and a patch of spontaneous lawn.
