Lessinia Botanical Museum

Established in 1979, the Lessinia Botanical Museum is dedicated to Giovanni Zantedeschi, a local scholar, physician and botanist of the 1800s.
The plants on display, mostly from the nearby Parco delle Cascate, are catalogued according to their collection and identification area, the period and the scientific name. The different collections coming from different altitudes, the spaces dedicated to orchids, as well as the areas reserved to mushrooms and lichens are also worth discovering in details.
Unfortunately, the museum has been closed for renovation since September 2018.
Visitors should contact the Iat Valpolicella Office for more information.
