Levadina Oasis

The Levadina Oasis is part of the South Milan Agricultural Park and covers an area of 30 acres.
It features several water environments (riverbanks, ponds, fountains, a hygrophilous forest, etc.), and drier ones (lawns, shrubs, forests, etc.).
A peculiar resurgence – locally known as “Pennsylvania” – is found in the centre of the oasis. The latter is an important facility for biodiversity preservation – 136 species of plants, in fact, are registered here, including some rare varieties.
Fauna is abundant too, with many water birds such as herons.
In the ponds, common mallards, coots and moorhens can be found.
