Lorenzo Firenzani’s Rossopuro farm – Saffron

Rossopuro is a young farm in Castelfiorentino, in the heart of the Tuscan hills, which cultivates saffron for the production of high-quality stigmas. Harvesting is done by hand and cultivation is done with organic fertilizers and with no artificial herbicides.

Flowering lasts a month and the stigmas are picked and dried with hot air at low temperatures on the same day of the harvesting. After about two months, they are eventually packaged.
