Miradolo Castle – Camellia, exotic flower and bamboo Collection

The park of the Castle – not far from Pinerolo and covering some over 15 acres – dates back to the XVIII century but was enlarged in the XIX century, acquiring several romantic landscape features inspired by the informal English gardens. The park has a vaguely oval shape, with a large grassy clearing in the centre.
Lush vegetation includes centenary specimens and exotic species like maidenhair trees, yews, sequoias, fagus sylvatica asplenifolia, and tulip trees; there are also some interesting collections of camellias, roses and hydrangeas, as well as a bamboo wood.
Thanks to several canals, streams and the favourable climate, this park is an ideal habitat for many animal and plant species.
