The thirty-seven acres of peony collection includes more than 250.000 plants of 600 different species, encompassing almost all the known ones, most part of hybrids and very rare specimens, coming from the most secluded regions of Asia.

Vaginatae (P. suffruticosa, P. ostii, P. rockii, P. decomposita, P. quii, P. jishanensis) and Delavayanae (P. delavayi, P. ludlowii) are present as well.
