The Bussento caves oasis has an extension of 607 hectares; it is located inside the National Park of Cilento and Vallo di Diano and it is included in the world geoparks’ list. The Oasis of Morigerati is a principal geological site because of a relevant karstic phenomenon.

A canyon covered by a flowering vegetation to visit through a path, which crosses the old town, along a river with springs, waterfalls and an ancient mill. The final destination is a cave where it is possible to observe the resurgence of the karstic Bussento river.

The Oasis is inside a Site of Community Importance (SIC IT8050016) in the municipality of Morigerati (Sa).

Visitors centre in Morigerati: opening hours 10.00 – 17.00
March– April: open all the weekends and on public holidays
May– half of October: open on all days
half of October – November: open all the weekends and on public holidays
December– March: reservation necessary
The oasis can be visited all the year-long if climate conditions are good, but a reservation is necessary.
The oasis is closed on rainy days.
