Parco Adriano

A large 30-hectare park near the recent Adriano district, designed by Franco Giorgetta, and located on the border between the areas of the Municipality of Milan and Sesto San Giovanni (on the former Magneti Marelli estate). The park consists of a large central green area surrounded by trees that create a “natural” spontaneous landscape.
Picnic areas, playgrounds, bowling facilities, pergolas, and paths for leisure walks have been created inside this popular facility
Trees were planted also in the parking lot of this recent neighbourhood. Among the main species, there are black locusts (Robinia pseudoacacia), boxelder maples (Acer negundo), sycamore maples (Acer pseudoplatanus), beeches (Fagus sylvatica), common ashes (Fraxinus excelsior), ashes (Fraxinus ornus), sweetgum (Liquidambar styraciflua), white mulberries (Morus alba), London plane trees (Platanus x acerifolia), poplars (Populus alba, P. nigra), cottonwood poplars (Populus nigra “Italica”), oaks (Quercus palustris, Quercus rubra and Quercus robur), and white willows (Salix alba).
