Parco delle Noci Oasis

Parco delle Noci oasis covers an area of almost 10 acres and is an excellent research facility where various techniques of environmental restoration are regularly studied and tested; thus, many flora and fauna endangered species are bred, while thoroughly monitoring them according to the very life and evolution of the surrounding environment. Even the very agricultural landscape has been included in this in-depth research, rebuilding small strips of mowing lawn bordered by typical rows and hedges.
Flora mainly features sedges (Carex spp.), rushes (Juncus spp.), bulrush (Typha spp.), white willows (Salix alba), black poplars (Populus nigra), English oaks (Quercus robur), walnut trees (Juglans spp.), dog roses (Rosa canina), and maples (Acer spp.).
The typical fauna includes tree frogs, the edible frogs, emerald toads, and the water-snakes; among the birds, there are many gray herons, mallards, codons, the ferruginous ducks, common pochards, moorhens, spotted crakes, and snipes).
