Parco di Teodorico is the connection point between the path of the historic boundary walls and the green area outside the city of Ravenna.
Inside the park there is one of the most important monuments of the city, Mausoleo di Teodorico, around which there is a public park hosting typical elements of Ravenna’s landscape, such as countryside and water, vegetable gardens, partially wooded areas, meadows with games for children and paths suitable to practice sport.
The northern entrance of the park is characterised by the presence of bodies of water, which are covered by marvellous lotuses (Nelumbo children) during the Summer time; a wood walkway allows people to cross them and observe closely the animals, such as turtles, fishes, ducks, gooses, seagulls.
