This nursery was named after the purple willow (Salix purpurea), an ideal and extremely useful plant in naturalistic engineering.

The nursery, established by Alberto Peyron, produces plants for the wholesale market and professional gardeners/designers; there are ornamental species and varieties, grown in a natural environment, intended for the furnishing of public and private green areas, including trees, shrubs, bamboos, conifers, perennial herbaceous species, forest trees, ornamental grass, and creeping varieties.

Purpurea nursery also offers urban furniture, bamboo groves, naturalistic engineering systems, vertical greenery, and professional decorations.
