Located at 1.680 ft above sea level, this facility covers more than 35 acres, 6 of which are dedicated to the actual real nursery with reforestation plants, ornamental species for schools, municipalities and several private associations; there are some 50 species including conifers (cypresses, pines, thujas, cedars) and broad-leaved trees (oaks, chestnuts, maples, ashes, lindens, elms, hornbeams).

The nursery is also a research and experimentation centre for the production of truffle plants for all of Central and Southern Italy.

Selva del Campo is currently working with seeds of authoctonous plants like Q. pubescens, Q. cerris, Q. ilex, and Corylus avellana, creating mycorrhiza specimens with spores of Tuber aestivum and with experimental truffle plants like Tuber melanosporum, Tuber magnatum, Tuber borchii, and Tuber mesentericum.
