Selva Pezzi Lastoni Integral Nature Reserve

This Reserve is a protected natural area in Veneto, established in 1971. Located on the slopes of Mount Baldo and sloping down towards Lake Garda, it covers an area of 2.389 acres covered with beech woods (Fagus spp.), silver firs (Abies alba), and mountain pines (Pinus mugo); at higher altitudes, there are large grassy areas, scattered with scree and cliffs, while featuring rare and protected flora.
Rare and endemic bird species live there, such as northern goshawks, golden eagles, hazel grouses, black grouses, rock partridges, boreal owls, black woodpeckers, alpine swifts, wallcreepers, and white-winged snow finches.
There are also several mammals, including moles, common shrews, alpine shrews, water shrews, bats, marmots, squirrels, snow voles, alpine pine voles, water voles, wood mice, yellow-necked mice, foxes, badgers, martens, stone martens, weasels, very rare lynx, roe deers, red deers, and the chamois.
