Argentiera Estate

The Argentiera estate can be found along the coast of Upper Maremma – an area where, in ancient times, there used to be natural springs, silver mines and thriving agricultural activities.
Today, the estate is co-owned by brothers Corrado and Marcello Fratini (well-known entrepreneurs from Florence), and the Marquis Piero Antinori: they’re all committed to enhancing these lands and their remarkable historical, enological and natural heritage.

The company, which stretches from the hills to the sea, covers an area of 1.235 acres – 185 of them are planted with vineyards, all with the DOC Bolgheri and IGT Toscana designations.
The vines (Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Merlot, and Syrah) are located at some 1.24 miles from the sea on a small plateau, at an altitude ranging between 492 and 656 ft above sea level. They’re surrounded by Mediterranean scrub. The countryside is bordered by avenues of maritime pines and centuries-old olive trees.
