Lilliano Estate

This is an agricultural and wine estate, with 123 acres of vineyards which produce Chianti Classico and other fine wines.

It originated in the Middle Ages when the original structure was a fortified complex that included the Church of Santa Cristina: a single large naved-building, quite unusual among the typical churches of Chianti. The complex then passed into the hands of several owners: the Marquis of Tuscany, the Abbey of Poggibonsi, and the Hospital of Santa Maria Nuova in Florence.
In 1958, bottling and selling wine began thanks to Princess Eleonora Ruspoli Berlingieri, whose family had bought the estate in 1920.

Giulio and Pietro Ruspoli are the current owners. The company also offers farm-stay accommodation, tasting events and the direct sale of Chianti Classico and other products.
