This post is also available in: Italiano (Italian)
Every year, on the Feast of Corpus Christi in June, the town of Arborea celebrate the Infiorata Festival. It’s a religious ceremony with floral decorations placed in the streets adjacent to the parish church.
Thousands of flowers form polychrome carpets usually portraying sacred images.
In the square of Santa Maria Ausiliatrice, there’s a 98-ft long carpet featuring multicoloured flowers and foliage, roses, brooms, juniper and bougainvillaea.
