Since the end of the 1960s, urban spaces in Pesaro have been redeveloped also thanks to the inclusion of contemporary sculpture. The masterpieces of several renowned artists, such as Arnaldo Pomodoro and his “Sfera Grande”, have been recently installed in Piazzale Libertà, soon becoming a true landmark and a popular gathering venue for the city.
After about ten years, this initiative regained its original momentum and, in the 1990s, the city began to populate itself with contemporary sculptures and the exhibition is constantly growing.
