“Terme Bagni di Vinadio” are located along the Corborant Stream, in a side valley in Stura di Demonte furrow. The therapeutic properties of these waters were already appreciated in Roman times and have been officially documented since the XVI century.

The first buildings suitable exploiting this precious natural resource date back to the mid-XVIII century; they underwent further extensions and a radical transformation at the beginning of the 1900s, with the inclusion of a hotel with a beauty farm, a congress centre, several sports facilities, an indoor thermal pool, and a mud treatment ward.

The sulphurous water, coming from different natural springs, has different temperatures: Fonte Fango Antico 125.6 F°, Fonte Roccia 122 F° and 36.6 F°, Fonte Stufa Antica 131 F°, Fonte Stufa Santelli 143.6 F°.

This water is suitable for treating circulatory diseases, as well as problems with the skin, the digestive, locomotor, respiratory, and urinary systems, as well as for metabolism deficiencies.
The thermal treatments at Vinadio spa include aerosol, therapeutic baths, hydroponic treatments, mud baths, steam baths, whirlpools, and hot-humid inhalations.

This valley can also be enjoyed visiting the very sources of the rivers, the ancient stone buildings, and the medieval village of Demonte.
Several excursions for the tourists would take you to the secondary valleys, while sports enthusiasts may enjoy fishing, canoeing, kayaking, rafting, etc.

This valley is also home to the Sambucana sheep, which takes its name from Sambuco, a set of scattered hamlets in the upper part of the valley. Its wool is quite unmistakable thanks to its candid colour, while it’s widely used for the production of sweaters and plaids. The meat of this type of sheep is just as special.
In the mid-1980s, this breed risked extinction but today, thanks to a revaluation project that has relaunched its breeding among several local shepherds, the number of specimens in the valley has remarkably risen.
Every year, at the end of October, during the traditional Fiera dei Santi, Vinadio organizes the Exhibition of the Sambucana sheep.
