This nursery, run by Lucia Cortopassi and Gianluca Corazza, is in Pietrasanta (LU), in Versilia. Founded in 1995, it produces and cultivates unusual plants from all over the world (not found uprooted in nature), always introducing new unusual species into cultivation.
The production is enriched every year and is specifically aimed at enthusiasts, collectors, botanical gardeners and anyone interested in unusual plants not easily available on the market.
Vivaio Corazza offers, in particular, rustic and tropical trees and shrubs, herbaceous perennial species, succulent plants, geophytes, caudiforms, food plants, seeds, Amaryllidaceae, Araceae (100 species), botanical begonias (13 species), Bromeliaceae, Cactaceae, Hoya (40 species), Gesnariaceae, Sanseviera, and Stapelia.

All the plants are also thoroughly tested and studied, as well as checked for the taxonomic accuracy of the collections. The nursery also acts as a conservation centre for some ex-situ cultivated species. The rusticity of the plants is indicated in the descriptions on the comprehensive nursery catalogue, also in relation to the climatic conditions of the outdoor nursery.

The owners are always eager to offer their precious advice on cultivation and botanical information in a most serious and scientific way, preferably by email.
The nursery is not open to the public and it may receive visitors – by appointment (to be booked at least 2-3 days in advance) – on very special occasions.
