Vivaio Piante Acquatiche, in Cirè, a few miles north-west of Turin, was opened by Davide Serra, a young computer engineer with a passion for aquatic flora, who started experimenting in his home garden in 2006.
Today, Davide produces a wide selection of ornamental, floating, marshy and oxygenating aquatic species, including about 200 cultivars of water lilies and 100 of lotus flowers (Nelumbo nucifera ), as well as native species for bio-pools and phytoremediation, including Phragmites australis.

Always eager to offer advice to his customers, Davide has created free online guides about the cultivation of aquatic plants and the creation of natural lakes.
