In Orto Botanico di Ferrara numerous spontaneous orchids have flowered in the last years like Orchis apifera, Cephalanthera damasonium a rare orchid inside the list of protected plants of Emilia Romagna.

Admiring these flowerings, visitors can understand and learn that orchids are not only tropical plants living in greenhouses and houses, but also that there are spontaneous species all over Italy.
