This nursery, established by Stefano Capitanio, is in the countryside of Monopoli (BA), in the heart of Puglia, between “Murgia dei trulli” and Salento. The nursery is specialized in the production of outdoor ornamental plants and today it produces more than 600 varieties of plants, growing outdoors on more than 123; 25 more acres are reserved to some greenhouses used for the propagation, acclimatization and cultivation of subtropical species. Latest technologies and painstaking care, also when it comes to sustainability issue, have always been the key to the great success of this nursery.

Since 2008, Capitanio nursery has opened a public botanical garden, built on karstic soil: “Lama Degli Ulivi” botanical collection now houses over 2.000 plants from all over the world.

The garden is also a popular destination for sector professionals, botany enthusiasts, tourists and students; several cultural events and botanical exhibitions regularly take place there.
