Bosco Falconeria farm is an organic-farming facility in Partinico (Palermo), which produces pomegranates, avocados, mulberries, several other fruits, vegetables and legumes. It also offers some varieties of excellent wines, including Catarratti, obtained from that very vine which is harvested by hand, and “grappa di zibibbo” (Grappa liqueur made with Muscat of Alexandria grape). A fragrant and tasty extra virgin olive oil is also obtained from the three local cultivars (“Biancolilla”, “Cerasuola”, “Nocellara del Belice”); white wine and red wine kinds of vinegar, also flavoured with mint, lavender and basil flowers are part of this company’s wide range of excellent products.
Bosco Falconeria has belonged to the Simoneti family for several generations, but the current organic farming facility was born in the 1960s, when Tonino Simoneti, a young agronomist, met May Taylor from New York (the author of some celebrated Sicilian cookbooks in the 1980s).
Today, the company is run by the latter’s daughter Natalia and her Finnish husband, Rami.
