Biscuits with aniseed

Throughout Molise, biscuits with aniseed are a traditional treat. The recipe, handed down from generation to generation, uses flour, sugar, olive oil, aniseed, and bread yeast. The ingredients are mixed in porcelain containers, then knead on a flat surface to make small donuts and then bake them.
