Parco Regionale del Delta del Po

Parco Regionale del Delta del Po in Emilia-Romagna was created in 1988 and it is part of Emilia-Romagna and Veneto’s projected areas. It covers about  54.000 hectares, developed in six different sections with homogenous territorial environments, with dune areas and pine woods. Parco Regionale includes the municipalities of Cervia, Ravenna and Alfonsine in the province of Ravenna, and in the municipalities of Argenta, Ostellato, Comacchio, Codigoro, Goro and Mesola in the province of Ferrara, and thirteen natural reserves such as the pine wood  of Ravenna,  Riserva Foce del Bevaro, Lido del Volano, the valley Bertuzzi and Sacche di Goro and Scardovari. The presence of more than  300 species of birds, such as nesting and migrating species which make the park a suitable place for birdwatching.
