Pusiano Lake

That of Pusiano, or Eupilii, is probably the most beautiful body of water among the five lakes in Brianza.
It has glacial origins and sits at a height of 843 ft above sea level. It covers an area 2 square miles and reaches a maximum depth of 88.5 ft. It borders with the slopes of Mount Cornizzolo and with southern low hills of morainic origin. The entire basin is part of the Lambro Valley Natural Park and is, therefore, a protected area.
Pusiano, Eupilio, Erba, and Merone (in the province of Como), Rogeno, Bosisio Parini, and Cesana Brianza (in province of Lecco) overlook this quaint body of water.

In 2005, the municipality of Bosisio Parini purchased the boat “Vago Eupilii” and offered it for complete tours of the lake (about 1 hour-long); visitors can thus enjoy its beauty. Apart from the typical flora and fauna, there’s the beautiful island of cypresses and the mouth of the Lambrone River. The lake is beautifully framed within imposing Mount Cornizzolo and the surrounding mountain ranges of Brianza.
