This 3.5-acre oasis was born from the restoration of a micro-environment made of native trees and shrubs, which used to grow in the Po River valley many centuries ago.
The area consists of three different areas (a shielding barrier, a sound-absorbing barrier, and a mixed forest) with different plant species such as English oaks (Quercus robur), sessile oaks (Quercus petraea), lindens (Tilia spp.), ashes (Fraxinus spp.), field maples (Acer campestre), Norway maples (Acer platanoides), grey poplars (Populus canescens), black poplars (Populus nigra), blackthorns (Prunus spinosa), hornbeams (Carpinus betulus), rowans (Sorbus spp.), crab apple trees (Malus sylvestris), wild privets (Ligustrum vulgare), cornelian cherry trees (Cornus mas), common dogwood (Cornus sanguinea), dog-roses (Rosa canina), viburnums (Viburnum spp.), boxwood (Buxus sempervirens), common hawthorn (Crataegus monogyna), checker trees (Sorbus torminalis), and common hazel (Corylus avellana).
