This Oasis is in the Municipality of Fiumicino (Rome), is about 82-acre wide, and features five artificial tanks, built in 1970, now abandoned, in which a peculiar environment has developed. The latter has proved vital to the development of humid environment fauna and flora.

Along the banks, there are thickets of common reeds (Phragmites australis), and broadleaf cattails dominating the surrounding vegetation thanks to their huge size.
One of the biggest tanks, featuring emerged patches of soil, thick reeds, and secluded islets, has offered perfect refuge to many types of birds. The latter can thus benefit from the abundant presence of plants like southern blue gums, river red gums (Eucalyptus globulus, Eucalyptus camaldulensis), white willows (Salix alba), blackberry bushes (Rubus fruticosus), and rushes (Juncus sp.).

Especially during migrations, many birds can be seen, like purple herons, western marsh harriers, peregrine falcons, and saker falcons. Other birds are even more abundant, like grey herons, common moorhens, coots, Yellow-legged and common gulls.

Starting in autumn, many ducks appear, like Eurasian Wigeons, teals, Ferruginous ducks, and mallards.
Foxes, coypus, grass snakes, and European pond turtles are abundant as well.
